Mr. James Ray Staggs, 80, passed away September 29, 2024, in Grand Saline. He was born December 7, 1943, in Terry County, Texas, to Cal D. & Brunette Owens Staggs. James married Mary Tolleson in Durant, OK, in 1986. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Larry Staggs.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Staggs of Grand Saline; two sons, Calvin Staggs and wife Shayla of Oklahoma, and Tony Staggs and wife Britney of Ohio; daughter, Renae Deffes and husband Steve of Canton; stepson, Calvin Ray of Lubbock; stepdaughter, Sandi Matranga and husband Patrick of Tyler; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
