Ralph Harold Helman, 77, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Mercy House of Chambersburg.


Born December 7, 1946 in Knobsville, PA, he was the son of the late Donald Ralph and Geraldine May (Divens) Helman.

Ralph was a graduate of McConnellsburg High School. He proudly served in the US Army. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Lodge 443 and the American Legion Post 42. He was a past commander at the VFW in Greencastle. He was a long-time member of the Mason Dixon Corvette Club.


Ralph is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary “Peggi” Helman; his daughter, Tammy Mclean; three grandchildren, Aaron, Summer, and Waverly; two stepsons, Jeffrey and David Foltz; one brother, Michael Helman; one sister, Cheryl Mellott; four step-grandchildren, Chelsea, Maddison, McKenzie, and T.J.; one step-great-granddaughter, Vanessa; and several nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Edna Louise Roberts and Patricia Helman, and one brother, Donald “Duck” Helman.


The funeral will be held at 11am on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain Tim Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 6-8pm.
