Funeral services for Bobbie Roland Gray, 94, of Lovington, New Mexico, will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Randy Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Bobbie was born on September 2, 1930, in Merkel, Texas, to Henry and Nila (Morton) Roland and passed away on September 30, 2024. Bobbie was raised in Merkel, Texas, and graduated in Odessa, Texas. She was a wonderful cook and loved feeding family and friends. Bobbie was an excellent seamstress and made countless outfits for family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting and crafted many beautiful afghans and was still crafting winter scarfs at age 93. She was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was an auxiliary lady at Nor-Lea Hospital for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Nila Roland; her husband, James E. Gray; and one sister, Lola Mae Johnson.

She is survived by two sons: Michael Gray and wife, Tina and Farrell Gray and wife, Lyndale; two daughters: Sandy and husband, Dan Hardin, and Sheryl and husband, Leonard Pounds; one brother: James Roland; one sister: Carolyn Atchley. Grandchildren: Cherie (Jason Knapp), Gaylon Gray (Kelsie), Rory Gray (Katie); Kelsie Schirman (Jordan), Austin Gray (Alli), Haley Grant (Colton); Dana Davis (Darren), Clay Hardin (Cigi); LaShawn Byrd (Brian), Peggy Hendricks (Sterling) and William McBee (Morgon). Great-grandchildren: Janae and Carli Knapp, MacKenzie and Grayson Gray and Nolan Gray; Kiser and Asher Schirman, Case and Cameron Gray; Hudson, Ryder and Crosby Davis; Cayce Hardin; Gunnar and Major Byrd; AC, Landon and Beau Hendricks, Liam, Levi and Lennyn McBee.
