William P. Armstrong, Jr., 81, went home to the Lord Monday, September 30, 2024 at Baystate Noble Hospital. He was born in Westfield, MA to the late Susan M. (Pitoniak) and William P. Armstrong, Sr. He was the owner and operator of Valley Motor Lines for over 35 years. Bill was a longtime communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Westfield. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen A. (Makula) Armstrong of Westfield, his five loving children, William P. Armstrong, III and his wife Ela of Westfield, Lynn Anderson and her husband Richard of Holyoke, Edward P. Armstrong of Westfield, Michael A. Armstrong of Westfield and Lorraine M. Templeton and her husband Thomas of Westfield, a brother John Armstrong and his wife Diane of Westfield, and his seven cherished grandchildren, who they called “grampy” Ayla Armstrong, Haley (Armstrong) Feyre and her husband Topher, William P. Armstrong, IV and his wife Christine, Daniel Armstrong, Jessica Armstrong, Ryan Templeton and Henri Anderson, great-granddaughter Kennedy Kay Feyre and his sister in law Phyllis Furioni. Sadly, Bill was predeceased by a granddaughter Daisy Mary Armstrong. His family would like to thank the staff at Sister Caritas Cancer Center who became like family, especially Dr. Iyer and Stephanie Polange His funeral will be held on Friday from 10 AM from the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St. Westfield, burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours for Bill will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
