John R. Mitchell, 69, of Warwick, RI, beloved husband of Corinne (Vigneau) Mitchell, passed away on September 29, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends.
John worked as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for OST Services in Providence for thirty years. He grew up in Riverside, RI. John and Corinne enjoyed traveling across the country, fishing, hiking, boating, horseback riding, and photographing wildlife.
He was the son of the late Rex and J. Anne (Holmes) Mitchell.
In addition to his wife, John leaves behind three children: Tracy Mitchell-Gilmore and her husband Patrick, Joshua Mitchell, and Alana Belliveau; two stepchildren, Amanda and David. John also leaves behind his beloved nephew, Paul Clement Jr., who regarded John as a father figure.
He is also survived by his brother, Michael Mitchell, and three sisters: Joanne Mitchell, Kathleen Mitchell, and Jean Mitchell and her wife Bonnie.
John cherished the time spent with his four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren: Kaylee, Cascis, Timothy, Nicholas, Johnathan, Emily, Devin, and William.
He was predeceased by his brother, James Mitchell and step-son, Tim.
