Ted McClenny Obituary

After a lengthy battle with illness, Marvin Edward “Ted” McClenny passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the age of 88 with his family by his side. Ted was born in Aurora, Ontario to Kenneth and Alma McClenny.


He is survived by his loving wife Henrietta P. Florida, his daughters Patricia Wallace, Christine Slykhuis (Jim), Sylvia Callaghan (Jim) and his brother Lowell McClenny (Carilyn). He treasured his grandchildren, Michael Stade, Megan Stade (Matthew), Katie Slykhuis, Laura Wasielewitsch (Graham), Jessica Colton (Tyler), Travis Slykhuis and Rachael Callaghan (Harley) along with 7 great-grandchildren.


The family would like to thank Ted’s Brethren at the Rising Sun Lodge and his Noble Brothers of the Rameses Shrine for their support during this time. Also, the staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre and Margaret Bahen Hospice for their professionalism and compassion.


Funeral will take place on Saturday, October 5th at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket (parking in rear). Visitation from 1:00pm followed by a service at 3:00pm. Guests are invited to a reception at the Rising Sun Lodge, 57 Mosley St, Aurora immediately following.
