Robin Lee Lyon, age 77 of Owosso, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024

The family will receive friends and relatives at Nelson House, Monday, October 7th from 5 pm - 8 pm.

Church Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 at the St. Peter Lutheran-Riley Church, 8990 Church Road, St. Johns, MI 48879 with Pastor Tim Bayer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, with a luncheon following at the church hall.

Robin was born on January 13, 1947 in St. Johns, Michigan, the son of John and Naida (Vaughn) Lyon. Robin graduated from St. Johns High School in 1965. After graduation Robin proudly served in the United States Army, First Calvary Division during the Vietnam war He was a radio operator and was honorably discharged. This service prompted his passion for ham radios. He was an active Ham Radio Operator and enjoyed talking with people around the world. He also enjoyed R/C airplanes and driving through the countryside in his red Miata.

Robin married Janet Frolka in Owosso at the First United Methodist Church on September 17, 1977. They have shared over 47 wonderful years together. He retired from General Motors in skilled trades after 30 dedicated years.

Robin is survived by his wife Janet (Frolka) Lyon, siblings Barry (Dr. Gail Bowdish) Lyon, Terry (Suzanne Adams) Collison, Kelly (Chris) Rademacher. In-laws John (Linda) Frolka, Rich and Marti (Frolka) Manke, David (Janet) Frolka, Donald Frolka, Doug (Vicki) Frolka. Several nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends. And his "loving bonus Moms" Gail and Shirley.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Naida Lyon
