Marguerite Viteri Obituary
Marguerite T. Viteri, 85, of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully at 9:54 a.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2024 at home.
She was born May 14, 1939, in East Chicago, to Martin and Molly (Lopez) Morales.
Marguerite was a nurse by trade and spent 50 years helping those who needed it. In her spare time, she liked playing word puzzles, watching the news, and crafting, especially crochet.
She is survived by her children, Manuel Anthony Lorenzo Jr., Marina Lorenzo Jones, , Lisa Marie Lorenzo, and Martin Joseph Lorenzo; siblings, Victoria Gonzales, Martha Jimenez, Josephine Valencia, and Anita Morales; as well as 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Ramona Villalon, and Delores Coy.
A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Graceland Cemetery Chapel, 1505 E Morthland Dr, Valparaiso, (219) 462-3511. A visitation will start at 11:30 a.m. until time of service in the chapel.
