Frances (née Gagliano) Marchese, born in Mirabella Imbacari, Sicily passed away peacefully, September 29, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1930, Frances immigrated to Rochester, New York, in 1955, where she met her husband, Angelo.
After many years in Rochester, Frances and Angelo moved to Los Angeles before eventually settling in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where they continued to build a life centered around family and friends. Frances was a skilled seamstress, known for her dedication to her craft. She also took immense pride in her garden and found great joy in cooking traditional meals, often bringing her family together around the dinner table. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she delighted in spending time with them, creating cherished memories.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Angelo, who passed away in April of this year. Frances is survived by her devoted daughter, Maria (Brian) Mullen and loving son, John (Rosalie) Marchese and her brother Salvatore. Also survived by her five grandchildren: Nicole (Matthew) Capelli, Joseph Falcone, Michelle (Christopher) Motto, Michael Marchese, and Christopher Marchese; her great granddaughters, Charlie and Emma; and great grandsons, Connor and Aiden all of whom will forever hold her in their hearts.
Frances' legacy of love, family, and hard work will live on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to bring comfort and joy to her family and friends.
