Wayne Tilden Gaddis was born June 12, 1952 in Sioux Falls, SD to Richard & Irene (Vander Woude) Gaddis. He graduated from West Central High School and continued his education at Southeast Technical College. In 1972, he married Cindy Scholl. Shortly after, he began working for Egger Steel as a draftsman, where he continued to work for the next 30+ years in addition to farming for 10 years. Wayne worked most recently at Persona, where he worked the last 9 years of his career and eventually retired for good.
Wayne was a “Mopar-man” and he certainly lived up to it. He loved building hot rod cars, riding his trike and tinkering on his ‘30 Plymouth or his ‘67 Belvedere GTX. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy of Madison; daughter, Tammy (Jason) Wierenga of Sioux Falls and their children, Kaela & Peytn; son, Brady (Tracy) Gaddis of Humboldt and their daughter, Ashley (Cole) Searing; daughter, Carrie (James) Goodale of Pipestone, MN and their children, Thomas & Megan Vinslauski and Elliana Goodale; son, Andrew (Kelsey) Gaddis of Burnsville, MN and their children, Amaya & Willa; one great-grandson, Owen Searing; three brothers, Richard of Sioux Falls, David of Garretson and Donald (Debbie) of Crooks; one sister, Eileen (Dale) Heemstra of Dolton, SD and several nieces & nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Eugene.
