Joanne T. O’Neill, 81, Homemaker, died on September 26, 2024 at Cates House in Ocala, FL. She was born into this life on August 27, 1943 in Long Branch, NJ and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (McGuire) Noone. Joanne grew up in Red Bank, NJ and graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School. In 1993, Joanne and her late husband made their home in Dunnellon from Edison, NJ.  She was a parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs, FL where she was a former President  and Vice President of the Community of Catholic Women.  Joanne was very active most of her life volunteering for Hospice. She enjoyed playing dominoes and cards with friends. She was sophisticated  lady who enjoyed having her hair and nails done. Joanne was a woman of faith who truly loved Jesus and the Blessed Mother Mary, often reciting the Rosary.  She emanated love to all who had the opportunity to know her and will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Joanne is preceded in death by her late husband, Lyman O’Neill; her sisters, Patricia Cloud and Eileen Deragon.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, son , Kevin O’Neill, and his daughter, Ariel Thomas-O’Neill; her daughter, Sharon Cohn and her husband, David; her nephew, Brian Cloud; her nieces, Linda Weinstein, Theresa Johnson, and a close cousin, Fred Meisler and many friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Memory of Joanne.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs, FL followed by a reception in the church hall. Committal services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 2PM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
