Ioana Grigorescu (nee Talpasanu), 76, passed away on September 29, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX. Born on December 25, 1947, in Romania, Ioana dedicated many years of her career to the Ministerul Tineretului si Sportului (Department of Youth and Sports), where she left a significant mark through her commitment and service.
Ioana was a loving wife to her husband Ion, a cherished mother to her daughters, Gabriela and Mihaela, and a doting grandmother to Mihai and Valentina. She also leaves behind her siblings, Maria, Elisabeta, Margareta, and Ilie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicolae and Sofia, and her sister, Elena.
Described as a distinguished and intelligent lady, Ioana was revered by all as a role model who always put the needs of others above her own and consistently did the right thing. Her passion for learning was matched by her love for traveling and cooking, often reminiscing about her younger days of weekend travels.
A devoted member of Saint Mary Romanian Orthodox Church, her faith played a pivotal role in her live. Ioana commitment to family and traditional values was evident in her love for having family gatherings and her active participation in church activities.
The services to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Saint Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church. Ioana's legacy of love, devotion, and integrity will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
