Harold Wayne Avera Barefoot, 74, of Owensboro, passed away on September 29, 2024, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Harold was born June 16, 1950, in Tampa, Florida to the late James Barefoot and Dorothy Hatch Barefoot.

Harold enjoyed basketball, music, trains, cats, Halloween, taking pictures, and going to Disney World. He could cut-a-rug, loved to dance and participated in Special Olympics.

Harold is survived by his siblings, Betty Jo Smith, Donald Avera (Barbara), Lisa Howard Barefoot (Tim Abrams); nieces, Bryanna Wooldridge, Donielle Jones (Jonathan), Lera Jones; nephews, George Leto, Michael Rowland; and brother-in-law, Donald Howard, Jr.

Visitation is 11:00am to 2:00pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
