Eugene “Gene” Harrison, Jr., 62, a 20-year North Scituate resident, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Sunday, September 29, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Lori A. (Dombek) Harrison. Gene was born in Providence and raised in Foster. He was the son of Doreen (Smith) Harrison of North Scituate and the late Eugene Harrison.

Gene was a sales representative for over 10 years for Pella Windows. For many years he was the owner of Gene Harrison Paint and Wallpaper. Gene was a country musician and singer who loved playing local venues and meeting his family and friends to entertain them. He took a lot of pride in fundraising for many charities, especially Toys For Tots and the ASPCA. He was always the first one there to lend a helping hand for those in need. He also was a member of the North Scituate Rotary Club, Smithfield Elks, and Foster Lions Club.

In addition to his wife Lori and his mother, he was the father of Michael E. Harrison (Tess) of Cranston and Shawn M. Dombek (Lisa) of Columbia, CT. He was the brother of Lynda J. Harrison, Jeanne “Terri” Pezzullo (James), Lisa J. Harrison, Lorna J. Lucas (John), Rebecca J. Forte (Michael), and Doreen J. Gaudiana. Gene was the proud grandfather of Bronwyn and Phoebe Harrison, Jordan and Ethan Dombek who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and his lifelong friend, George “Buddy” Lenth, III. He will also be missed by his beloved fur babies.

His funeral will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 8:45 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Danielson Pike, North Scituate. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4-7pm.
