Edgar H. "Bud" Bonner Obituary

Edgar H. “Bud” Bonner, 92, of Victory Heights, formerly of Shippenville, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024 at Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.


He was born in Fisher on May 30, 1932 to the late William K. and Elizabeth P. (Wing) Bonner.


Edgar had been attending Mansfield University when he got drafted by the army during the Korean Conflict. He served in the United States Army Band. He was a mold maker for Reno Mold for over 30 years and then transferred to Libbey Glass in Toledo, OH where he retired.


Bud is survived by his children Brent (Christie) Bonner of Sligo, Teri (Roger) Lutz of Corsica, and William “Ken” (Melina) Bonner of Cranberry. In addition he is survived by his grandchildren Jason Bonner, Justin Bonner, Jacquelynn Paolillo, Samuel Ferraro, Keith Ferraro, Ben Lutz, Nick Lutz, Branden Bonner, Samantha Tofani, Kaitlyn Marvin, and Kristina Young; great-grandchildren Abbott Lutz, Gio Tofani, Luca Tofani, and Mable Bonner.


Bud is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Margaret Ann Johnson, married October 16, 1955 and passed February 12, 1982; his second wife, Joanne M. Bonner married December 26, 1982 and passed February 20, 2017; and daughter Susan Bonner.


Per Bud’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.


Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion.
