Joyce D. Nowland, 94, of Alpena passed Monday, September 30, 2024, at Medilodge of Green View.

Joyce D. Gapske was born July 23, 1930, in Alpena to the late Edward and Ema (Bucholtz) Gapske.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Carol; granddaughter, Stephanie; and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Brian Nowland; siblings, Gerald Gapske, Bernard Gapske, Edward Gapske, Elroy Gapske, Eugene Gapske, Donald Gapske, Henriette Kuhlman, Dorothy Anderson, Maria Gapske, and Jeannine Reinke.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
