Maurice Rosevelt Fremault, affectionately known as Grandpa, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, at the age of 91 in Crown Point, Indiana. Born on September 7, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, Maurice lived a life marked by a deep devotion to his family and a zest for life's simple pleasures.

Maurice is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dawn Fremault; his loyal dog, Pudge; his brother, Johnny; and his sisters, Genie, Yvonne, Madeline, and Symone. He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter, Michelle Siems and her husband, William; his grandchildren, Samantha Olson and her husband, Jeremy, Ashley Siems and her husband, Tyler, Carley Evenhouse and her husband, Logan, Jessica Siems and her husband, Garrett, Daniel Siems, and Sabrina Siems; and his great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Kutcka. Maurice is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss his presence dearly.

Those who knew Maurice understood his passion for family gatherings and his occasional delightful escapades to the casino. He filled every room with love and laughter, creating memories that his family will cherish forever.

A service to honor Maurice's life will be held at Burdan Funeral Home, 12901 Wicker Ave. Cedar Lake, IN on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The family invites all who knew Maurice to join in celebrating his rich and loving life. Maurice has now joined his wife, Dawn, in heaven, where they continue to watch over their loved ones together.
