Dawn Lynn Gist 69, of  Hagerstown, MD passed away, Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the University of Maryland Hospital.

Born Wednesday, August 24, 1955, in Chambersburg, PA,  she was the daughter of the late Donald West and the late Arlene (Sturtz) West.

Dawn was employed as the Assistant Director at the Learning Center for 27 years until her retirement. Dawn's real joy was spending time with her family and being mom to everyone, and she loved spending time at the beach.

She is survived by her husband Christopher  Gist,  son, Evan Christopher Gist, daughter, Emma Dawn Gist and husband Joshua M. Spears, sisters, Debbie Lingg and husband Joseph, Tracey Schmuck and husband Ronald, Tammy Coates and husband Graeme and Shelley Kelley and husband Thomas, brother, Jeffrey  West and wife Donna and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday October 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM  at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
