Judith A. “Judy” Detamore, 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Born in Owensboro, Kentucky, Judy was a daughter of the late Jesse R. “J.R.” and Anna Lynch. During her working years Judy, served as a secretary at Lincoln National Life and Canterbury Green. She met her husband to be at Canterbury Green where Jeffrey Detamore served as the golf pro. They spent 37 wonderful years of marriage together. Judy says her favorite job was working along side Jeff at Deer Track and Chestnut Hill’s golf courses for 15 years. Judy absolutely enjoyed being outdoors working on plants, trees, mowing the grass, and watching the hummingbirds. She had a special talent for interior design and had a large collection of Christmas décor especially “Santa.” Judy loved her family and cherished her three grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Jeff Detamore; children, Jaclyn (Wesley) Jakacki, Jarod (Alison) Detamore; grandchildren, Maya, Desi, Emmanuel Jakacki; siblings, Gary Lynch and Janice (Charles) Cole. Judy is survived by her brother, William Mahaney. Service is 5 pm, Monday, October 7, 2024 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 3 pm until the services. Memorials may be made to Miller’s Merry Manor Activities Department in Garrett or Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
