Candida Vega, affectionately known as Candy, age 70, of Waterbury, Connecticut, passed away on September 26, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. Born on September 30, 1953, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to the late Carmen and Luis. Candida was raised in Puerto Rico until the age of 39 when she relocated to Connecticut. A happy and strong woman, Candy was deeply devoted to her family and her faith. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was a regular churchgoer.
Besides her parents Candida is predeceased by her grandmother Candida.
Candida is survived by her loving spouse, Juan F. Ortiz, and her four children: Janet Vasquez, Jesus Ramos, Victor Ramos, and Beatriz Quinones: her siblings, Milagros, Olga, Papo :Grandkids , Juan , Hipolito, Edwin, Kiara, Carlos J. , Carlos Luis, Giovanni, Justin, Victor, Daniel, AngelyMarie, Jazlee: Great Grandkids, Jayden, Travis, Kassey, Yairis, Edwin Jr., Gorda, Destiny: In Laws, Ana, Carlos, Jenny and many more family and friends that will honor and cherish her memory forever.
