Jeanne Mary Hall Fritz Obituary

Jeanne Mary Hall Fritz, 80, of Crestwood, New York, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024. She was a lifelong parishioner of Annunciation Church in Crestwood. She was a proud member of the first graduating class of the present day Annunciation School. She married her beloved husband, Allen at Annunciation on December 18, 1966. She then had her three children, Christopher, Brian, and Megan, baptized at Annunciation and sent them to the school as well. Jeanne also served as the president of the Ladies Guild, she helped to organize countless holiday boutiques, volunteered in the school library and did many days of lunch duty.

After graduating St. Clare's Academy in Hastings-on-the-Hudson, New York, she began working for ATandT, while dating her high school sweetheart, Allen. Shortly after their engagement, Allen was drafted into the Army. After his basic training they got married and Jeanne took a leave from ATandT to follow Allen to Alabama and then onto Virginia. When Allen returned from Vietnam, they bought their first home in Crestwood.

She spent many years lovingly raising her three children. Once they were grown, Jeanne began working at the College of New Rochelle. While there, she completed her Bachelor's degree. She retired from CNR and committed herself to be a positive force in the life of her family, especially her three grandchildren, Amelia, T.J., and Bryan. Christmas Eve was her favorite holiday to spend with her whole family, especially her grandchildren.

When she wasn't with her grandchildren, she loved to spend time in Rhode Island or Florida. She loved the smell of the ocean. Rhode Island always held a special place in her heart. Forty-five summers were spent there with her family and friends making lifelong memories.

Throughout her life, she had a deep faith in God, which gave her great comfort particularly as she battled health issues in recent years.

She is survived by her beloved husband Allen of fifty-eight glorious years, her three children: Christopher (Bridget), Brian (Marie), and Megan (Thomas) Fix; three grandchildren: Amelia and T.J. Fix and Bryan Fritz; her younger sister Nancy Hall; sisters-in-law: Susan and Joan; and nephews: Andy, James and Reid. She is predeceased by her parents Sally and Jim Hall, her brother Jimmy Hall and her nephew Danny Hall, as well as her in-laws, Ernest and Edith Fritz.
