Marcus W. Everidge, age 86, of 307 Charles Street, Vienna, died Monday, September 30, 2024, at High Cotton Home in Vienna.
Born in Pinehurst, he was the son of the late William Joe Everidge and Myrtis Thompson Everidge.
Marcus spent his career in agriculture. He worked at Gold Kist in Pinehurst for many years and was named “Applicator of the Year” several times during his tenure. He also worked for many years at Rabbit Ridge Farms. To show his support for farming and agriculture, he joined nearly 3000 other farmers by driving his tractor to Washington, DC in 1979.
Marcus loved people and always brought a smile to their faces. When he entered a room, he quickly became the center of attention with his stories. Many people will hold fond memories of the fun times they spent with him.

In addition to his parents, Marcus was preceded in death by his son, Tim Everidge and his brothers, Dennis Everidge and Ronnie Everidge.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am Thursday, October 3 in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 5 – 7 pm Wednesday, October 2 at the funeral home.
