Joyce Wilson

Age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 30, 2024 at Tawas Village in East Tawas, Michigan. She was born on September 5, 1937 in Easton, Maine to the late Milton Lloyd and Corene Ada (Blackden) Flewelling. On May 5, 1956 she married Richard Allen Wilson of Tawas city, Michigan. Richard and Joyce both worked for Detroit and Mackinac Railway. Joyce worked as the purchasing agent and Richard as a trainman. Joyce was a faithful member of the East Tawas Assembly of God Church (now known as Harbor Church). Joyce is survived by her daughters; Diana (Jim) Ulman and Denise (Witt Call) Wilson. Grandchildren, Lisa (John) Bell, Dylan (Lynette) Ulman and Dustan (Julianna) Bradley. Great grandchildren, Kiersten, Kaiden, Miley, Brielle, and Eastyn. Brothers, Erwin (Linda) Flewelling and Dwight Flewelling; sisters, Geraldine Lawrence and Donna (John) Fenton; brother – in – law, Malcolm Antworth; plus many nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Richard; brother, Dale Flewelling, sister Carmen Antworth, in-laws, Rita Flewelling, Sally Flewelling, Marvin Lawrence, Glee and Dean Wilson; nephews, Sterling Lawrence, Brian and Martin Flewelling, Steve Schibner, Jessie and Roger Wilson; nieces Wanda Schibner and Elaine Flewelling. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Harbor Church in East Tawas, Michigan. The family will welcome friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Joyce will be laid to rest next to her husband in Memory Gardens Cemetery following the service.
