Tracy A. Cash Obituary

Tracy Cash peacefully passed away, surrounded by family, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, N.J., at the age of 63. She was born in Elizabeth, and as a child moved to Edison, where she lived for the rest of her life. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Rider University. She then went on to work at Siemens for over 40 years, a fact she was very proud of.

Tracy had a zest for life. When not working, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and having dinner parties with friends that lasted into all hours of the night. Many of her friends, who she cherished deeply, have long felt like family.  An avid reader and concertgoer, she was knowledgeable on all topics and had a deep appreciation for the arts and music.

To her nieces and nephew, she was a second motherly figure. Always the de facto babysitter, she was a loving caregiver, a fun friend and a trusted confidant. She was the epitome of the stereotypical “fun aunt,” and left behind a wealth of memories and inside jokes that her family will cherish forever.

Tracy is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Joyce Cash, stepmother Martha Cash, and brother-in-law James Kane.

Tracy is survived by her sisters, Allison Lentz and her husband William; Cathleen Kane; brothers, Carl Nielsen and his wife Christine; Brian Nielsen and his wife Lori; Jeffrey Nielsen; nephews and nieces, Willam Lentz, Kaitlyn Lentz, Colleen Kane, Brigid Kane, Amy Alcantara, Stacy Bookstaber, Michael Nielsen, Matthew Nielsen, and beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
