Surrounded by her loving family, Lynn Mary Elsa Johnston passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice. Lynns was born in Saint John, NB on November 11, 1961, to her parents, the late George and Kathlyn (nee Cherry) Johnston.
Lynn will be dearly missed by her husband Albert Joseph Bourgeois; grandchildren: Kinley and her parents Mitchell Bourgeois and Shelby Spencer, Maya and Xavier and their parents Matthew and Varsha Bourgeois; brothers: Brian (Janet), Carl (Bev), Gary (Colleen), and Tommy (Donna); sisters Barb Agnew (Wayne), Karen Johnston; sister-in-law Annette Johnston; several cousins, nieces and nephews; best friend and partner in crime Cece whom she’s known since childhood, her Momma Rose who was a second mom to her; and her precious cat Buddy who adored her.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Wayne Johnston.
Family meant the world to Lynn, and she enjoyed every moment she spent with them. She grew up on Lakewood Sproul Road and graduated from Simonds High School in 1979. Lynn was employed with Costco for many years until she had to go on sick leave due to cancer. She enjoyed her time at TNT Campground playing washer toss, sitting by bonfires, and sipping on Kahlua and milk. Lynn was also a sports fan and watched NASCAR and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice, and Dr. Burnell’s staff in the oncology department, for their excellent care and commitment.

Visitation for Lynn will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel with a private family burial following. Following the service, the family invites everyone to join them for a time of remembrance and refreshments in the Fundy Funeral Home Reception Center.
