Mr. Larry Hedrick of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born January 25, 1944, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of George Everett and Lola Elenore (Livick) Hedrick.
Mr. Hedrick was an educator, who earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Harding College, now known as Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. He spent his career as the Choir Director and Computer Teacher at Newport High School.
Mr. Hedrick worked as a missionary in South Africa and Arizona, and also served as a choir director at several different churches. Later in life, he earned his pilot’s license, an accomplishment he was very proud of.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Marie Legg; and his parents.
Mr. Hedrick is survived by two children, Chad Hedrick and Delany Diane Hedrick; two sisters, Linda Craft of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Nancy Smith and husband, Bob of Benton, Arkansas; and a lifetime of friends and former students.
In accordance with Mr. Hedrick's request, there will be no services at this time.
