Philip Dumas "Philly D" sadly passed away early Sunday morning at the age of 57 surrounded by his family. Born on February 28th 1967 in Erie, PA- Phil had the biggest heart, most contagious laugh, and was one of the most selfless people in the world. His love for his family and friends was an inspiration.
Phil was a veteran - he served in the United States Army from 1986-1991, serving his country in Desert Storm. Phil worked as a truck driver at Hoffman Transport for the past 18 years. Phil loved hockey, the Dallas Cowboys, and most importantly- he adored his wife Jen, and his three children Brandon(The Boy), Allison(Pumpkin), and Christy(Baby Monkey). In his free time he enjoyed cookouts in the backyard, trips to Canadohta Lake, and spending time with his many friends at the local clubs in Erie.
Phil was proceeded in death by his father Philip Dumas Sr, his mother Susan Dumas, his brother Lee Dumas, and his brother William Dumas.
Phil is survived by His wife Jen Dumas, son Brandon Dumas, daughters Allison and Christy Dumas, brother David Dumas, many nieces, nephews, & cousins.
A Celebration of Phil's life will take place at a future date. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
