Connie Jordan Obituary

Constance “Connie" Jordan of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the age of 89.

She was born on November 21, 1934, in Kosciusko County, Indiana to Enid Bereline (Snyder) Anglin and Wallace Randolph Anglin.  Connie was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where she was a 1952 graduate of Atwood High School.  She was a young bride of 20 when she married Richard “Dick’ Stanley Jordan on April 30, 1955.  They were blessed with raising a house full of four daughters, who later made them grandparents and great-grandparents.  Dick and Connie shared 50 years of marriage before he passed away on February 20, 2006.

While in high school she started working in the office at the Clunette Elevator from 1951-1954.  She worked at a number of jobs throughout her life, and she retired from Zimmer in Warsaw where she worked as a polisher.  Even after retirement she loved to keep busy and worked in the cafeteria of Mentone Elementary School where Connie enjoyed seeing all of the children and co-workers.

She loved being outdoors and took great pride in caring for her lawn and many beautiful flowers.  You would often see her enjoying a great day mowing on her zero-turn mower, which she did up until she was 89.  She loved to feed the birds and relax by the lake.  Connie was a longtime beloved member of Atwood Otterbein Church where she sang in the choir.  She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She touched the lives of many and leaves behind dear friends who will miss her.  Connie is celebrating being home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven!

She will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters, Linda (Dennis) Rasnake (Kendallville, IN); Cynthia Jordan (Winona Lake, IN); Kristi (Mark) Gregory (Warsaw, IN); and Darci (Aaron) Walters (Warsaw, IN).  Also surviving are her ten grandchildren, Bobby, Jay, Ben, Tina, Ashley, Jordan, Nicholas, Brittany, Lucas and Landon; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Sue (Larry) Shively (Warsaw, IN); and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Anglin (Warsaw, IN).  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dick Jordan, and her brother Dan Anglin.

Connie’s life will be celebrated with a service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Pastor David Banning.  She will be laid to rest at Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood, Indiana.  Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10:00 – 1:00 p.m.
