Dorothy Ann Farello (nee Molloy) of the Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29th, 2024.
Dorothy was born on December 28th, 1934, to her Irish-immigrant parents Hannah and William Molloy. She was the beloved sister of Marie, Ann, Joseph, and Jerry.
She and her late husband, Frank, were blessed with three daughters. She is survived by Theresa (Michael), Ann (the late Herman) and predeceased by her daughter Dorothea.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Steven, Gabriel (Gina), James, Tara (Nyesha), Jacquelyn, Amanda and Ava. She was also the proud “Nana with the white hair” to her five great-grandchildren: Steven Jr, Carlo, Gianna, Gabriella and Christian.
She is also survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews and friends.
Dorothy was a resident of Providence Rest Nursing Home in the Bronx since 2022 where she enjoyed the loving and caring presence of the “Sisters of St. John the Baptist”, her amazing caretakers, nursing staff and her adoring friends.
A special thanks to Calvary Hospice Care for providing her comfort in her final days.
Dorothy touched many lives in a special way and may she “Rest in Peace”.
