Jane L Payne Obituary

Jane L. Payne, 75 of Findlay passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born in Lima, Ohio on June 7, 1949, to the late Edmund and Rita (Lammers) Rieman. Jane married William “Bill” Payne on November 8, 1969, and he preceded her in death on November 21, 2012. Jane is survived by four daughters: Michelle (Mark) Updike of Ann Arbor, MI, Lori Payne of Columbus, Tricia (Shea) Ryan of Staten Island, NY and Sarah Payne of Dayton. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Andrew Updike, Fiona Ryan and Aidan Ryan, granddog, Emma Jane, brother, Steve (Julie) Rieman and sister Pat (Denny) Ellerbrock both of Ottawa. Jane worked at Marathon Oil Company and then retired from Blanchard Valley Health Systems after 32 years of service in support services. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, a Hospice volunteer and New York Yankee fan. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM Thursday until the time of service. A private family burial will be held later in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Jane to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
