Lorinda Butler, daughter of Emmett and Juanita (née Forrester) Jenkins, was born on August 12th, 1947, in Cosby, Tennessee. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 29th, 2024.

She was married to Michael Butler for 54 years, and together they raised their family in Grafton, Ohio.

Lorinda was a pillar of strength and a mom who was always there to offer support, wisdom, and love. She spent many happy years watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed baking for her family and spending time together.

She attended First Baptist Church of LaGrange, where she grew in her faith, worshipped, and served the Lord. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, knowing the word of God and sharing it with her family.

In the hearts of all who loved her, she will always be there.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Terri) Butler Jr., Bobby (Joric) Butler, and Billy (Kelley) Butler; her daughter, Lynette (Doug) Vavla; and her grandchildren: Michael and Jenna Butler, Samuel (Kelsey) Butler, Elizabeth and Ella Butler, Brooke Butler and Ashley (Ryan) Suvak, Madalynne (Trey) Cunningham, and Blake Frish.  

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Sophie Harbst, Jillian Bronish, Cali Schlosser, Aubree and Mackenzie Cunningham; and her sisters, Rhonda Jenkins and Stella (Steve) Szabo.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Butler in 2021, parents, sister Yvonne (Cricket) Jackson, brother James Jenkins, and granddaughter Haleigh Frish.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of LaGrange, 200 Church St, LaGrange. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 11 a.m., Family will receive visitors an hour before funeral service with Pastor Noel Hack officiating. Graveside services will follow at Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
