Brunnet, Donald, F., 99 of Portage, passed away on September 29, 2024 in Sidman, PA. He was born on December 9, 1924 in Ebensburg, PA. Don was the son of Conrad and Sadie (Miller) Brunnet. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wives: Edith (Sendzik) Brunnet and J. Marie (Ritchey) McCabe-Brunnet, his grandson: Travis Fisher his son-in-law: Richard Fisher and his siblings: Chester and Ernest Brunnet and Arlene McDonald.

Don is survived by his children: Donna Fisher, Scott Brunnet and wife Faye (Arford), Don Brunnet and wife Maryann (Hochrein) and Jody Brunnet, all of Portage. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Tara Amann (Scott), Amanda Kostan, Richene Ramos (Todd), Meghan Lamertina (Luke), Jacob Brunnet and Mandy Crum, his great grandchildren: Brock and Chase Amann, Katie McCarty, Kamryn Ramos, Emily and Jack Lamertina, Aiden and Daphne Crum and a great great granddaughter, Charlotte.

Don was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. 

He was a retired employee of Bethlehem Steel and he formerly owned and operated Brunnet’s Sports Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiles and classic cars. He also enjoyed gardening and picking berries.

Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. in Portage and from 10 AM until time of 11 AM Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Martindale Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
