Alice J. Hraha "AJ", age 89 of Frankfort, passed away on September 16, 2024. Survived by her son Robert (Susan) W. Hraha, Jr., daughters Cheryl (Kenneth) A. Chemers and Nancy (Stanley Slavin) J. Jaymes-Slavin, brother Thomas (Carol) Maccari, grandchildren Robert (Heather) Hraha, Chula Quilantan, Michaela Quilantan, Matthew (Tawnya) Chemers, Alison (Paul) Fleschner, Jonathan (Margaret) Chemers, Andrew Chemers, Emily Chemers, Charles Jaymes, Raymond Slavin and Nora Slavin. Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Hraha, her parents Rudolph and Nora Maccari (nee Cuddy), and her infant daughter Mary Hraha.

Alice graduated from Academy of Our Lady, also known as Longwood Academy, in Chicago, Illinois. She worked in customer service at Carson Pirie Scott and Company as manager until her retirement. She also spent time volunteering at a hospital in postoperative cardiac care. Alice was an avid golfer and bowler in both women’s and couple’s leagues. She was passionate about watching sports events such as football games and golf tournaments with her loving family. She loved reading the newspaper and discussing current events. Alice was a kind, attentive, and nurturing soul as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Alice will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 303 W St Mary's St., Minooka, IL 60447. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 107 N. Ridge Road, Minooka, IL 60447. Arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, 507 S.
