Lidio Jose Carvalho Obituary

Lidio Jose Carvalho

With sadness, we announce the passing of Lidio on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the age of 91. Devoted husband to Maria for the past 68 years. He leaves behind his children George (Alcina) and Nelson.

Proud Grandfather to Ashley (Derek) and Catarina (Alfredo). Loving Great Grandfather to his angels Alina, Cecilia, Theodore and Juliana.

Lidio had a profound love for his farm in Dundalk, where he found joy in cultivating the land and nurturing its natural beauty. In addition to his agricultural passions, Lidio was an exceptional navigator, spending many years as a private taxi driver. He navigated Toronto and its surrounding areas with an intimate familiarity, always eager to share a story or a thoughtful tip about the best routes. Lidio embraced every moment with enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for the world around him.

Friends and relatives are welcomed to the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin Street, south of Lawrence Avenue W.) on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 3 – 8 pm

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Avenue W., at Dufferin Street) on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Carvalho will be laid to rest at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane Street, north of Steels Avenue W.)
