On Saturday, September 21, 2024, Brandon Allen Peavy, Jr. departed this life at his home in Spring Creek, Nevada after a lengthy illness at 49 years of age.

Brandon was a native of California born in Exeter, California on August 19, 1975.

Brandon worked underground for several mining conglomerates in Nevada for a number of years, serving as lead miner and master blaster. He was also trained as a diver and first responder. He loved to scuba dive as well.

He was loved by many and enjoyed a host of family and friends who will dearly miss him here in Nevada and in California.

He is survived by his great grandparents, Rev. Lee and Etta Lee Peavy of Winnemucca, Nevada; maternal grandparents, Alonzo and Frances Fortney; his parents, Rev. Allen and Darla Peavy also of Winnemucca; his siblings, Kimberly McCurdy and husband Stuart, Kristen Bradley and husband Justin both of Winnemucca. His children Khmara Frederickson and husband Taylor of Boise, Idaho; Tiara Peavy, Ryan Peavy and Brandon Peavy, III all of Elko, Nevada; his long-time partner Kristin Kerr.

Brandon enjoyed and loved his six grandchildren, J’rue, Parker, Gianna, Wesson, Vayda and Jude, who adored him and will miss their “Paw Paw”!

He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Elie Allen and Katherine Peavy of Farmersville, California and infant cousin Silas Peavy of Modesto, California.

Brandon will be missed immensely.

A memorial service for Brandon will be scheduled in the coming days.
