Joseph Leonard Bruce, age 73, of Lima passed away September 16, 2024 at 10:08 p.m. at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 10, 1951 in Lima, Ohio to the late Robert and Marjorie (Stanley) Bruce.

Joe loved his job at Buckeye Pipeline before retiring. Joe never knew a stranger; he had a huge heart and was always a giver. He would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife- Barbara L. Bruce; 3 sons- Joseph Bruce of Lima; Nathan Bruce of Lima; and Scott Bruce of Wapakoneta; step children- Chelsea (Benny Crist) McLoughlin; Shelby McLoughlin; Samantha McLoughlin, and Anthony McLoughlin; his brothers- James (Pam) Bruce; and Richard (Kathy) Bruce; his sister- June (Jack) Gavin; his in-laws- Juanita Money whom helped care for him; and Anthony Makin; his grandchildren- Tristin Bruce and Enjolie Bruce whom helped in his final days; and Lillian Bruce whom he shared a special bond with; along with several great grandchildren.

Joe was proceeded in death by his first wife- Arliene Bailer; his Mother in Law- Frances D. Miner; and a great grandson.

Celebration of Life will be Sunday September 29, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at his home- 633 N. Elizabeth St Lima, Ohio.
