Christine Renee "Chris" Morgan, 59, of Madison, OH, formerly of Raleigh, NC, tragically left us on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
She was born on June 1st, 1965, in Raleigh, NC.
Chris graduated from Sanderson High School in 1983 and later earned her bachelor's degree in 2021 from WVU-Parkersburg.
She was dedicated to her community, serving as a volunteer at Emergency Medical Services and the fire department in Meigs County, OH, while working as a child support specialist in WV for 10 years. Since moving closer to her children in OH, she has been working as a Municipal Clerk in the Mayor's Office. Chris recently obtained a certification that few have in OH to become a Certified Municipal Clerk for the City of Willowick.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Ritchie; her husband of 18 years, Jack Lee Morgan, Jr.; and her daughter, Sarah Morgan.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two children, daughter Courtney (Brandon) Ellis and son Jonathan Tyler Morgan, both of Madison, OH; one brother, David Ritchie of Franklinton, NC, one sister, Robyn Smothers of Raleigh, NC; one grandson, Garrett Ellis of Madison, OH, and her in-laws, Jack and Judy Morgan of Davin; along with many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the Claypool United Methodist Church at Davin and one hour prior to services at the Church also.
A Celebration of Chris's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Claypool United Methodist Church at Davin, with the Rev. Tim Shuff officiating. Burial will follow in the Claypool Cemetery at Davin.
