James McArthur Purvis Groveland, Florida Obituary

James McArthur Purvis

Purvis, James (“Buck”) McArthur, 67, of Groveland, Fl. passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at his residence. He was born on June 28, 1942 in Helena, Georgia. He was of the Christian faith and has lived here in Groveland for over 50 years. Buck was a man of humble beginnings who by God’s grace rose to be his wives lover, best friend and confident. He was his children’s hero and who knows what all he meant to others. Buck was not only always willing to help any and everyone but also skilled in so many ways that he was able to do so. His family was his world and his wife remembers that even when they were dating his younger brothers and sisters went along. Gone but never forgotten. I cant remember a time he was too busy for me , or was not there for me when I asked. I wish it could always be that way. I will miss him dearly. I cant imagine a bigger void. i Love you dad

Uncle Buck will be missed. I still think of the many summers I spent with him, learning from his tremendous knowledge of how to be a great man. To all my family in Groveland, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

The only memories I really have, is matt and his grandfather changing my brakes. It was a sight to see, but the only other thing I have as a memory is of how close you could tell that he was with his family.
