Stephen Ashley Yockey, age 50, "Yock" as he was known to many of his friends was born on October 31, 1973 to Stephen Wesley Yockey and Lynda Knight Yockey in Jacksonville, Florida. Stephen passed away peacefully at his home on September 19, 2024 after a brave 25-year struggle with quadriplegia. Steve grew up in the Jacksonville Beaches area and graduated from Fletcher High School. After high school, Steve had several successful years of selling vehicles for Mike Davidson Ford and Duval Acura. His passion for cars and stereos along with his "gift of gab" made him a natural in the field. When he wasn't working, you could find Steve surfing or skateboarding. More than anything in the world, Stephen loved his English Bulldogs Baxley and Dublin. Stephen is predeceased by his parents Stephen & Lynda Yockey. 

He is survived by his sister Stephanie (Steve) Ando, his niece Meagan Ando, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Special thanks to his best friend and caregiver Brad Ivey.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25th, at Beaches Memorial Park 1500 Main Street Atlantic Beach.
