MAKSYMETZ, Dick Walter

February 8, 1936 – September 16, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dick Walter Maksymetz announces his passing on Monday, September 16, 2024.

Dick was born to Adam Maksymetz and Mary Maksymetz (Kusiak) on February 8, 1936, in Elphinstone, Manitoba, and was brought up in the farming community along with his sister Emily, and his brothers, Tony and Harry.

Dick was predeceased by his wife of 65 years Ann, both of his parents, his sister Emily and his brother Harry. He leaves to mourn his brother, Tony; daughter, Kim Urban; sons, Tim Maksymetz (Brenda Laramee) and Richard Maksymetz; grandchildren, Dalyce Urban (Dave Affleck), Kurtis Urban (Christy Urban), Jesse Maksymetz (Amanda Wood), and Travis Maksymetz (Amy Spivak); and great grandchildren, Daxton Urban, Bolynn Urban, Indy Affleck and Damon Maksymetz.

A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 1:30 pm, at Choice Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Dick’s memory be made to the Parkinson Association of Alberta.
