Kevin Earl Gasaway, 68, of Galveston Tx, earned his reward of eternal rest on September 16, 2024, after a long fulfilling life.
Kevin was born on August 15, 1956, to Herman and Madie Kimble in Galveston, Texas. He was one of eleven siblings, 7 brothers and 4 sisters. After graduating High School, Kevin enlisted in the US Army at the age of 19. Kevin was baptized at an early age at The Church of The Living God P.G.T in Galveston, Texas, and was a member of Greater St. Matthews Church in Hitchcock, Texas. For those who were blessed to have known him, knew that he had larger-than-life personality (always telling a joke), a smile that can light up a room, and was considered a good friend to many. He was also a patriarch of our family. He enjoyed cooking and baking, riding his Harley, watching sports, dancing, and having family gatherings year-round at his home in Houston, Tx as a way of keeping the family together.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Herman and Madie Kimble; both sets of grandparents; two brothers Kenneth Anders and Timothy J. Gasaway.
Left to cherish his memories are his two daughters Aneesa McMillan (of Washington D, C) and Jaleesa McMillan (Enterprise, Alabama); brothers, Gregory (Darlene), Stephen (Joy) Gasaway, Mark, and Reginald (Yalunda); sisters, Sharon (Nathaniel) Love, Sandra Gasaway, Shelia Gasaway and Sheryl (Nugene) Rolland; aunts, Susie Farley, Helen Hines of Houston, Mildred Bryant, Margaret Lewis and Pandora Lee; uncles; Clarence Gasaway, and Rev. Ervin Kimble; devoted friend, Pamela Langham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Five Godson's Bralon and Spencer Green, Alex Hickerson, Kelon Mc Daniel, and Terrell Mitchell.
