Ms. JoAnn Jackson, 77, Of Nashville, died Wednesday September 18, 2024, After having knee replacement surgery at Southwell Rehabilitation Hospital in Adel Ga.  

She was Born March 12, 1947 in Nashville, Ga to the late Charlie Jackson and the late Alma Ruth Jackson.  She worked as a cosmetology at JJ's Hair Affair which she open up in the late 1970's and she was also employed at the US Department of Agriculture.  She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she served as the Secretary for many years.  JoAnn was a pillar in the Nashville Community. She was always there to help in listen to anyone in need.  

She was preceded in death by her late Father and Mother, Charlie Jackson and  Alma Ruth Jackson and seven brothers: Charlie Jackson Jr, Billy Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Edward Jackson, Wesley Jackson, Hugh Jackson, and Willie Everett and a host of aunts and uncles.

JoAnn leaves precious memories to be cherished by her daughter, Kim (Leland) Lyle and son, Keith (Monique) Jackson; grandchildren, Christian Lyle, LJ Lyle, Kennedy (Bobby, Jr.) Griffin and Keith Jackson, Jr.; nieces, LaToya (Terry) Vickers, Kristy Jackson, Carolyn Jackson, Yolonda Jackson, Tamara (Diorossi) Davis, Tarsha Jackson, Sandy Jackson, Tina Harley; nephews, Edward Jackson, Kinzey Ross, Sam Jackson, and Kirk Jackson. special sisters/cousins, Elaine Landy and Edith Dunlap; special nephew, Jermaine Gardner and Duane Edwards; special niece, Malaylah Edwards; a host of great nieces, nephews; cousins, Marilyn Lasane and family; god son, Demtrious Collier and god daughter, Katrina (Kim) Wesley; special friends, Carolyn Morris, Tammy Stokes, Susan Sparks; and a host of sorrowing friends.

She will be missed by her riding partner, Elaine-aka Thela and Louise. Grand dogs, Sandy Jackson and the late Tyson Lyle.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin H. Smith, Sr. Pastor  located on 1102 E. Washington Street Nashville, Georgia 31639.

Family will receive friends on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 9:30 until time of service.  JoAnne will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery.
