Barbara Kunzer, 78
Okeechobee – Barbara Kunzer passed away on September 16, 2024. She was born on January 28, 1946 in Washington D.C. A resident of Okeechobee for 17 years, she worked for Walmart for over 30 years. She was a long-time supporter of the ASPCA and various animal rescue groups. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, reading, listening to music, and visiting Walt Disney World as often as possible.
Ms. Kunzer was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Anna Kunzer.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Mesa; son-in-law, James Mesa, both of Jupiter, Florida. She has two grandchildren, Juliana, a student at the University of Florida, and Daniela, a high school senior. Being their grandmother was her pride and joy.
