Mary (Rosko) DeKane, 95, passed away on September 16, 2024, at the Church of Christ Assisted Living Facility in Clinton Township, MI. Mary was the beloved mother of Mary Ann (deceased), Diane Collins and Carol (Robert) Nagel, dear sister of Helen Corbeil, and sister-in-law of Robert DeKane, Sr. Mary was a darling aunt to Keith Corbeil, Kathleen (Daniel) Kelly, Katrina Yeager, Donna Pollack, Vanessa (Richard) Grucz, Lorraine Dembowski, Michael Rosko, Katherine Shishkovsky, Paul (Connie) Rosko, Susan Weinbaum, Kristin (Paul) Pappas, Ann (Charles) Loehnis, and Allison (William) Trisch. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Stephen D. DeKane. Mary lived in Hamtramck, MI, for 65 years and graduated from Hamtramck High School, class of 1948. She had many interests, such as watching musicals and movies, traveling, reading, knitting, card playing, and she loved her ice cream. Mary enjoyed the friendships of many lifelong and new friends. And Mary loved her daughters. Mary was also a lifelong parishioner of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Detroit, MI, and the oldest member of the Sisterhood of the Protection (Pokrova) at Holy Trinity. She will sincerely be missed. Funeral arrangements for Mary DeKane are: 

● Visitation: Monday, September 23, 2024. Verheyden Funeral Home (Duross Chapel in Warren), 28499 Schoenherr (just south of 12 Mile Rd.), 12:00pm for Family;

1:00pm for Friends; 7:00pm Panikhida (prayers); and 8:00pm conclusion of visitation.

● FUNERAL SERVICES: Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 20500 Anglin at 8 Mile Rd. In State at 10:00am with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00am. Services will conclude at the Church, with a Memorial Luncheon immediately following at The Gazebo, 31104 Mound Road in Warren.
