Teofilo Ninaquispe Vasquez, 87, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Teofilo's family plan to celebrate his life at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the 3709 Tripp Street. Windsor Pointe Apartment communion hall.
Teofilo Ninaquispe Vasquez was born January 8, 1937, in Santa Peru to Jose Ninaquispe and Maria Vasquez. He grew up in Peru where he received his education. On April 17, 1982, Teofilo was united in marriage to Mery Sing Urbina. The couple made their home in Peru and were blessed with four children, Mario, Jose, Adolfo, and Vanessa. Teofilo made his career as an accountant for the Peru government until his retirement. The family then moved to Ames and made their home.
Teofilo enjoyed watching soccer and going to the beach. He has a passion for seafood and loved cooking it often for his family. He was a noble man and was always looking for ways to help others. Most of all, Teofilo treasured spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and family and the many memories they shared together.
Teofilo is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mery Sing Urbina; children, Adolfo Ninaquispe, Vanessa (Andrew) Hefflefinger, and Jose Ninaquispe; grandchildren, Alexa Ninaquispe, Ayden Hefflefinger, and Jacob Hefflefinger; brother and sister-in-law, Juan (Alina) Sing; and his extended family in Peru. He was preceded in death by his son, Mario Rivera; and parents.
