Lee Dennis Pierce (Dennis) entered this world at Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown , PA on November 5, 1954, to the late Leander Q Pierce Jr and Sara Ballard Nelson-Pierce. Dennis peacefully departed this life while surrounded by his family on Monday, September 16th, 2024 at 1:20 PM, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA.
Dennis received his education through the Wissahickon school district where his passion for cars grew immensely. When the first opportunity presented itself, Dennis went out and bought a gold Camaro hot rod. He was so elated that he drove down Highland Ave., showing it off to his former partner and lifelong friend Twanna Flowers. Throughout their partnership, they were blessed with two of his heartbeats, Dennis and Jolene.
Dennis, affectionately known as "Fat Cat," was cherished and loved by his friends and family. He was known for his early morning smorgasbords, where he shared his cooking skills with his son and daughter. He would entertain everyone with his knowledge, dote on his family, and express his love. Dennis held various jobs before pursuing his passion for driving trucks. He dedicated over 45 years to driving trucks, finding joy and fulfillment on the open road.
Dennis enjoyed spending his free time restoring cars and riding motorcycles. He especially cherished riding to the mountains watching his kids and grandchildren riding the jet skis. When asked if he would like to ride, his response would be “Nope, you go right ahead, I am fine right here”. He always looked forward to dinners at his sister Denise's house and having cookouts with family and friends.
"Uncle Den," as his nieces and nephews respectfully called him, was always the go-to person whenever they needed help or found themselves in trouble. He never hesitated to get them out of trouble with their parents. His words he spoke “Leave that boy alone or She’s alright. She didn’t do anything”.
Dennis touched so many people with a good conversation, over a cup of coffee, which left such an impression on many. He was a soul that was loving, generous, good, peaceful and kind. Dennis loved spending quality time with his family. As his health began to steadily decline, he was able to find strength through his children and grandchildren. His departure has left the world a little less colorful for those of us lucky enough to have had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
It Is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Dennis, a man who had a remarkable gift for connecting with others through heartfelt conversations. His warmth and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he met, regardless of background or circumstance.
Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Dana Pierce, and brother-in-law Hugh James Flowers. To carry on his legacy, Dennis leaves his daughter Camecha Clark of Johnstown, PA; son, Dennis Lee Pierce (Leslie) of Quakertown, PA; daughter Jolene Pierce (Izek) of Norristown, PA, and two sisters, Denise Pierce-Flowers of Lansdale, PA and Wendy Bostick (Keith) of Atlanta GA, one God Daughter, Lauren Flowers-O’Connell of North Wales, PA; four grandsons; Dennis Jr, Brandon, Robert, and Charles Jace; two granddaughters, Jalah and Gabriella, two honorary granddaughters Sierrah and Siani, nine great-grandchildren, extended family members, Jermaine Edwards, Lowie Parker, Gail Evans, and William Evans Jr. and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
