Robert Charles Howard Obituary

Robert Howard, 80, passed away peacefully in the Bronx.


He was born in New York, and was raised in the highbridge section of the Bronx. He was a proud Veteran of the US NAVY, having been on the USS Hornett. He worked various job until he found his true calling in the NYS Unified Court System. He proudly served as a court officer and worked up the ranks to captain before retiring in 2010.


He is predeceased by his mother and father, Alice (Burke) and John Howard. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet (Eichorn), his daughter Kristina (Joseph), his beloved granchildren, Rylie and Jackson, his siblings, Patsy, Jack (Mary), Jimmy (Pat), Tommy (Maryellen), Billy (Ruth), and Alice ( Adie), his many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.


Bobby was a friend to many, loved to be on the golf course, and at his American legion. He loved to spend time with family and his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. His family takes comfort that he is eternally playing a round of golf.


Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704.


Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 10:45 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY


Private Cremation.


In Lieu of Flowers donations in Bobby's name made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Calvary Hospital would be greatly appreciated by his family.
