Cathy F. Crimmins Obituary

Cathy F. Crimmins, 66, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri.

Cathy Faye Crimmins was born on September 24, 1957, in Sullivan, Missouri, to the late Junior and Janet (Collins) Miller. Cathy grew up and attended school in Sullivan, becoming a proud graduate of the Sullivan High School class of 1976. She then later furthered her education at East Central College, where she studied to become a veterinary technician. Her path, however, took a turn and she found her true calling in nurturing the elderly. Cathy worked as a dedicated CNA for many years at LifeCare, Meramec Nursing Center, and provided home health services for BJC.

Cathy was blessed with two daughters, Carrie and Corrie, who were the center of her world. Later in life, Cathy was united in marriage to CJ Crimmins on November 9, 1995. The couple cherished their time together, creating lasting memories until CJ's passing in 1999.

In the chapters that followed, Cathy embraced new adventures. She worked as a campground host, sharing her love for the great outdoors with visitors at Meramec State Park and Riverside Camping Resort in Labelle, Florida.

Cathy was an avid fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals, especially if they were winning! An all-time prankster with a big sense of humor, she never missed an opportunity to make those around her laugh. Fishing at “Nolie's Lake”, camping at Indian Creek, resale shopping and venturing to Piedmont Lake with her father and uncles Virgil, Roy, and Bobby were some of Cathy's favorite memories.

Later in life, when Cathy could no longer live alone, she found joy in the simple pleasures of rural life while staying with her daughter, Carrie. She loved to feed the chickens, turkeys, and cows.

Cathy’s grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured each and every moment she was able to spend with them.

Cathy is survived by her loving daughters, Corrie Epperson and fiancé Adren Walsh of Washington, Missouri and Carrie Andrea and wife Natalie of Bonne Terre, Missouri; 7 grandchildren: Bailey, Raegan, Bristol, Blayne, Kathy Bodi and husband Johnny, Justin Lawson and wife Bailey, and Megan Nicole; numerous great - grandchildren; two siblings, Christy Caldwell and husband Frank of Sullivan, Missouri and Jeff Miller and wife Kelly of Owensville, Missouri; and her fur baby, Apollo; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, CJ Crimmins; her parents, Junior and Janet Miller; and a son in law, Joe Epperson.

Funeral Service will be 7 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
