David Anderson, 56, a self-made man who took over the family business, Anderson Welding, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband to Kendra, a proud father to sons Kaleb, Ryan and daughter-in-law Caylynn and a devoted grandfather to Maycee. David was also held in high regard by his brother Jody and sister Mika, who considered him one of the very best people they knew.
Described as larger than life, David had a passion for storytelling and daring adventures. From a young age, he was a daredevil, driving his dad's truck into a neighbor's house at the age of 2 and breaking bones while attempting Evel Knievel-like stunts. In addition to his adventurous spirit, David was always there for his friends and family, ready to weather the storms and celebrate the joys of life. He made a real difference in the world, helping people without seeking credit or expecting anything in return.
David's faith in God was a guiding light in his life, shaping his values and actions. He didn't preach but lived his truth by example, demonstrating his beliefs through his actions and interactions with others. He loved his father Tommy and late mother Barbara, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion. He often joked about "marrying up" when referring to his beloved wife Kendra of 37 years.
His brother-in-laws Kevin and Tom, and sister-in-laws Manda and Sunny, were blessed to call him their brother as well. David will also be remembered as “the best and most fun uncle” to his nieces and nephews. His spirit and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in his memory. A celebration of David's life will be held on September 21, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Seminole at 10:00am. Visitation will be held at Ratliff Funeral Home on September 20 from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Rest in peace, our dear brother. You will forever be in our hearts.
