Johnathon Caleb Fleming 29 of Murphy passed away at the place he loved the most on Monday, September 16, 2024. He was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County. Johnathon was a 2013 graduate of Murphy High School where he played football and was a member of the shooting team. Johnathon served in the United States Army stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. He earned several medals prior to being honorably discharged in 2013. Johnathon loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing, riding ATV’s, a good bonfire and doing burnouts. He was an amazing father and loved his family deeply.
He was the son of Jeffrey Fleming of Andrews and the late Cynthia Conley. He was also preceded in death by maternal grandparents Charles and Frankie Cornwell and maternal great grandmother Elsie Cornwell.
Surviving are one daughter; Madelyn Shook; one son, Elijah Fleming; baby mama of Madelyn, Brooklyn Shook; baby mama of Elijah, Rayven Wenz; one brother, Dustin Miller; Cortney Roberson; three nephews Camren Robinson, Caleb Roberson, and Caden Roberson; paternal grandparents, Phyllis and Terry Nelson; aunts and uncles Todd and Jennie Clevinger, Charles Jr., and Lesha Cornwell; special cousins Vanessa Verner and Sonya Cearly; great-great aunts, Billie McManus and Louise Davis.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors with Pastor Harold Stiles officiating. Pallbearers were Shon Cearley, Justin Roberts, Patrick Curtis, Robert Campbell, Drew Dockery, and Cameron Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were Jeffrey Lovingood, Bill Timpson, and Todd Clevinger.
